A note of professional thanks,

I want to express my deep appreciation for the help and support you have offered me in this class. I feel very grateful to you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer my many questions. Without your help, I doubt I would have been able to complete this class in such a proficient and timely manner.
I consider myself very fortunate for having a chance to work with a person of your caliber. Working with you was a great learning experience for me. I really value the knowledge and insight you have, and your willingness to share it with me. I credit you for the success of this class as well as for my own professional growth. I thank you for that.

You have truly inspired me to work with sincerity and dedication. I am looking forward to implementing all of your valuable suggestions.

Thank you once again for showing me how one can be an exemplary and an excellent colleague. I consider you not only a colleague, but a valuable mentor and friend.

Thanks and you will always be appreciated.

Examining Codes Of Ethics In Early Childhood

When I became an educator, I knew I would be faced with a lot of obstacles in this field. There has been many resources to help me along the way.

1. Ensure that programs for young children are based on current knowledge and research of child      development and early childhood education (NAEYC, 2005).

2. Continue to learn, grow, and contribute as a professional (NAEYC, 2005).

3. We shall empower families with information and resources so that they are informed consumers
of services for their children (DEC, 2009).

I felt like these three were very meaningful to me because they help me educate my self more daily and the families of our young children in Early Childhood Education.

Motivational and Inspirational Quotes

I have long believed that the development of a child does not begin the day he is born- or at age three- but much earlier, during the formative years of his parents. Edward Zeigler, Ph.D.

It is important to help children as much as possible about parenting to help prevent social problems like premature child bearing, and child neglect and abuse. Now that we know about brain development in the very young, it is critical we teach our future parents the important role that parents can play in stimulating and nurturing their children, and in preparing them to reach their full potential in school and in later life. Edward Zeigler, Ph. D.

“My gut is there are born teachers who need to be polished, and then there are people who can learn to be teachers.” Pamela Winton, Ph.D.

Just as we need to define what is meant by the term high quality early childhood personnel for teaching and serving young children, we need to define the competencies of the individuals who play a critical role in preparing and supporting those personnel. Pamela Winton, Ph.D.

Personal Childhood Web

The five people in my family that nurtured me as a child was my father, my mother, a church member, my grandmother, and a teacher. These five were there for me more than anyone:

My father Frank who was and still is my motivator, someone who shielded me and always protected me. He provided for me and made sure I had food to eat and a roof over my head. He even took me to wrestling fights and always instilled in me to work for what I wanted and never depend on no man. He always made me feel special because he taught me many things like driving and sightseeing. I enjoyed sitting on his leg listening to him talking to me about what's right and wrong and he still does that today. His love for me is unconditional.

My mother Ella influenced me as a child because she always loved and believed in me. She laid with me when I was sick and took me to the doctor. Mom took me to the playground to play and always took me to Sunday School and to church. Mom always told me to believe in God and never take him for granted. She made sure I did my homework and stayed on task at all times. She told me to always do unto others as they do unto you. When I got out of control she always put me back on track and still do today whether I like it or not. She always showed me love then and now and always tell me too. We are close like sisters and always always will be.

My church member Mrs. Waters played a vital role in my life. She taught me about the bible and always gave me a part in the plays at church. She chose me to go on trips with the church and always chose me to speak . Mrs. Waters made feel special and she still does right now today. She always encourage me now to raise my children like I was raised up in church and always praise me for a good job I do with my children. When I do good in church now she praise me so therefore I will always look up to her as a major role model in my life.

My grandmother Laura who was a joy to my life and always came to pick me up on the weekend to spend the night with her. She took me fishing and always walked me all over town. She cared for my all my siblings and the other grandchildren in the family. Grandmother taught me how to be nice to people and how to wash dishes and clean clothes. I loved watching her sit in the window and the long conversations we use to have. She has passed away to be with the lord but her memories and her sweet smile will always live in my heart forever.

My 1st grade teacher Mrs. Griffin who was a sweet and kind person that taught me the ropes of life starting with my colors, numbers, and the most important how to write my name. When I did wrong she paddled me and let me knew why she was doing it. She taught me how to understand the facts of life and to always to encourage myself when no one else would. Mrs. Griffin quote was to finish school and be the best that you can be.

My favorite children book is The "Napping House"

My favorite book is "The Napping House." The children are very fascinated about this book. It is about a cozy house on a rainy day where everyone is sleeping. When the rain starts everyone wants to sleep on top of granny and breaks the bed completely down. The dog, cat, mouse, and the child. By daybreak it is just a house now where no one is sleeping.
